gas forge

hello all
i am looking at making a gas forge using a jet burner that i found in the old mans garage. i recall seeing on a knife making forum a gas forge made using a cast iron pipe fitting as the body. i was hoping you guys could help me find any information about such an item, or indeed if anyone could advise how to make a cheap forge using lpg single burner.
