Hi guys only just found this forum, looking forward to going through it and looking at all the great stuff.
One question straight off the bat, if I want to make a knife out of a Nicholsons file, are they 1095 steel.

Cheers great forum from what I've seen so far

Old ones are supposed to be 1095.

Australian Whiltshire files are supposed to be 1095 or W2.

Best advice - Buy a piece of steel and use the file to make the knife.

Tools and Supplies - someone might be selling steel.
