hello all
as i am getting into this knife making business a little more (ive now made 3 knives woohoo) i am wanting to get a knife grinder. i have at the moment a carpenters 4inch belt sander and i have made some nice grinds with it, but it does not give me the ability to do the small detailed work i need.
i was just wondering what is used out there in the knife making world. id love to see some pics and hear about the pros and cons of all devices.
id like to see any grinding jigs or guides anyone has come up with also
thank you all

Re: knife grinder
I have had 2 4 inch belt linshers and they did a greta job but as the motors are not seeled on them they suck in the metal dust and choked.I bought a 6inch linisher and it does a great job too but the pros use a belt thats only 2 inch.I dont use the linisher for any detail work so size is no drama and I like the bigger motor.

Bit more knife info.
Problem with knifemaking is the cost for a grinder.
Multitool 48 x 2 attachment is Australian design, not sure what they are worth now.
Radiusmaster which is the ducks gutz might be $2200(?) http://www.radiusmaster.com.au/
