book worth a look

David Darom, Art and Design in Modern Custom Fixed blade Knives - 2007 Chartwell

This book has some amazing blades, many too pretty and artistic for me but some real beauties and far-out techniques in amongst them. Damascus, forge-welding and more, from traditional to modern gold/beryllium alloy blades and with incredible carved handles, casting, titanium in amazing colours - lots of interest, you will find at least a couple you want I am sure! It is $120 to buy (!!!! I got it from the Library) but it can be found NEW in Aus for $40 inc. shipping now it is a year old.

Guess you are not a vegetarian unless you live on brew and just read the others.

Wow, Nimrod, if all libraries had just some of those books in them, the world would be a better place. Aslo, what's your favourite knife-making and your favourite hunting book? So i know what to get. :)
Also, i like the look of the backyard ballistics book :D , I'm sure that would give many hours of fun.
Carl

P.S. This thread title rhymes.
I did have a signature... It was a very good one in fact... It made me laugh... But i lost it... So i dont have one anymore.

Crikey Nimrod, when do you get time to shoot, mate? That is the most impressive book collection I have ever seen, and my word you look after them well, too! Your well and truly prepared for when it all collapses, I must say!
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!
