leather work suppliers

#1 Post by coolhippy80 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 6:48 pm

gday, i have been getting right into knife making lately, have built myself a coal forge and have been forging and grinding out a heap of knives lately, and i damn love it!!! :D :D :D
i have aqquired a fair amount of leather from a few different places, and have been making sheaths for my knifes, they are good, but i find punching 50 milion holes actually very painfull, as my hole punch digs badly into my palm, and stitching them up is just a pain when the knife slips and cuts the strings... :x
so i am after some... ummm... rivets? not sure of the name... but the two peice little button things that snap shut tightly on each side of a peice of leather to hold it together... anyone know a good local site where i can aqquire these?
Thanks, Gus.
