ULU
Has anyone here used, or better still, regularly uses an Ulu? I first heard of them in Mr. Sacketts "Doorway Buck" and have done a fair bit of reading about them since, but have still never seen one in real life. Are they hard to get used to? Are they as good for skinning and recovery of meat as the enthusiasts think? If they are as good as they appear to be, I intend getting one (Coach, you up for it?) so any advice or just description of use would be great, thanks

Moreton,
Maybe this might help http://www.theulufactory.com/
As for the one described in CM Sacketts "The Doorway Buck"
It’s an ulu, made from Russian Jadeite
This is very beautiful gem-quality stone would have been Napped to shape
Google Russian Jadeite ,it's very interesting and can be very expensive.

Yep had one at one stage, good for food preparation, similar to using a mezzaluna, found it hard on the fingers (cramping) when using it for skinning / fleshing skins etc... didn't persevere, in my case I found a decent knife much more serviceable

Thanks Fellas. After much reading and asking advice, seems to me that unless you grew up using one, they are really just more of a novelty device, and no real improvement or advance on what we already have. I'll stick with what Coach makes.
