A couple of my knives

Iam a real newby when it comesto knife making but here are a few thatI have made.

These two I cut out of a landcruiser skid plate. These were the first Iever made

Here are some pics of some little knives I made with broadheads as blades. I would drill the handle and put a screw in arrow insert in and you can screw the blade in or out.

They all look pretty cool mate , look foward to seeing more from you in the future :) What sort of steel is in the Skid Plate ?

Honestly I have no idea. I have a hard time keeping them sharp so I would say not to great of a steel but it was all I had at the time! LOL


I am gonna try my hand at saw mill blades pretty soon though.

I like your knapped blades. 8) What sort of material did you use? It looks a bit like glass.

Mick, the first one is Green Sheen Obsidian, but the others are all in fact 1/4" glass. Its a great material for beginers to start with. Those were the first blades I knapped.
