I just finished this hunter in 1084 with a grey ironbark handle. I made the sheath too. This was the first leather work I've ever done and its not pretty but works. I really like the combination of steel and timber in this and plan to make some more.

I like the clean lines of the knife and agree with the handle and blade combination.

The leather work will improve and I think most people would appreciate the hand made look as opposed to something punched out in a factory.

Well done,

Daryl.

Good work; I like the satin finish on the blade and the tone of the handle. Always good making our own equipment; well done.

Thanks. The photos are very deceiving. Definitely looks better in real life. In the photo it looks like the handle has splits but its the grain and finish has a real 3D effect. The blade has a scotch brite belt finish that is super quick and easy to do and gives a good working knife finish.

I actually thought those lines were joins in a laminated handle lol.

It gives a very nice finish alright.
