Great work! Must admit I really like ringed gidgee as well, but am a bit wary of using larger amounts in , say a riser as been told all the rings are actually flaws in the wood. Right or wrong I don't know, but apparently USA Bowyer a while back had a bow come apart .

Looks very nice. I thought the Ringed Gidgee would have been darker in colour than that.

Kim is good to hear from you my friend. Yes have moved to Dalby for a year or two so may have to catch up in Toowoomba at some stage. Might have to talk about cooking some blanks, as I have as been sending them back north to get done would love to have a look at your set up and catch up for shore.

cheers Wayno

Sorry for the late reply I have been away in Bris for a week at TAFE. It would be great to get you here to do some knife making if you want then you wont have to buy the kits you can make from scratch. Everything is here ready to go and you can even bring that mate of yours the Sneak with you. Happy enough to heat treat blades for you too I have the new kiln just sitting there. Most weekends turn into knife making stuff nowdays.
Cheers KIM
