Full tang drop point skinner

#1 Post by rodlonq » Sat Feb 18, 2017 12:17 pm

I recently made this skinner for a friend. It is made from 1084 steel with buff horn scales. The overall length is 8 3/4" with the blade just over 4" with full flat grind. I will be trying to put a metal guard or bolsters on my next attempt. The sheath is 8oz tooling leather hand stitched. Thanks for looking.

Hey Rod hope all is well mate. The skinner has come out great and good to see a nice sheath coming out of your leather skills department. Finally settled in down here and got to finish Davo's knife from his old mans saw blade it has come out heavy all right but for a camp knife it is as tough as nails. Thanks for hardening it for us it was much appreciated.
A few phots will talk soon.

Cheers Wayno
