Happy camper!!!

#1 Post by BowmanBjorn » Mon Jan 25, 2016 9:56 pm

For nothing more than bragging rights. My wife has been learning the leather carving trade from a rare and talented gentlemen in cairns over the past weeks and made me this sheath for me Buck Kalinga.

It's her 1st leather work project and I'm over the moon. The rune on the sheath matches the rune on my English war bow.

Very very good. She has adapted a Pattern from a Revolver Holster I think. I love out of the Box thinking. !

It was a big surprise! It's her first project in leather work and the bug has bitten hard! Lots of tools and leather on the wa pay to feed her addiction! Can't wait to see what the continued learning and practice brings over the coming years.

Ipthe sheath is a cross draw based on a design from a crazy hold guy who builds competition western action shooting rigs. So I think your bang on Perry.

The knife sits very snuggly in the sheath no chance of falling out.

BowmanBjorn I made a Sheath for a Mates 1876 Colt Replica and then adapted the Pattern into a Pocket Quiver. I donated it for the Hinterland Trad Shoot. Its very cool that you have a Leather Craftsman in the Family you'll have the most distinctive Gear out there.
