cute carving on blank
I could not resist this bit of handle work by RR so.... put it on a 6" Paki blade with a sabre grind and fuller. The tang runs almost full handle length so that was a bit nerve racking for my beginners skills. The end cap is a manzanita burl. Feels nice in both hands.
Now back to Perry's discs to generate a sheath.

Cool, I bet it was nerve racking fitting the Handle. A Mexican Loop Sheath is the go with a Bowie. They are not that difficult, just a bit more Cutting and a few more Stitches. Did I send you the Chuck Burrows DVD ??? Quite an Inspiring DVD concidering your Knife ??
I'm a sucker for affordable Knives, I think you have mentioned these Pakistani Blades before. A link would be great to the Blade sight and where you Score these Handles, lovely
Coincidently I started fitting a Stag Antler Handle to a Helle Blade yesterday, plan to Grind out Brass end Caps and Carve a Forest Spirit into it. I hope it turns out as neatly as yours has Mate
regards Jacko

Thanks Guys...For sure Jacko that Burrows DVD you generously sent was a blessing will sure make the approach to sheath making so much easier. The knife was sure affordable the blank if I recall correctly was $16 and seems to sharpen up real well and hopefully will last. I will send you the suppliers link. Post a pic of the Forest Spirit knife when finished would be great to see. Big Bob... Rob Roberts is a Artist working out of Idaho.
Works with lapidary/ jewellery /antler carving.I have a few of his carved handles can post pics if interested.

I got that Link, thanks Tony, found some Goodies already and trying not to Flex to Visa! I was not in the mood to mess about with that Antler Handle Knife today so I spent 5 or 6 Hours carving a Wooden Spoon with a Forest Spirit in the Handle, still another couple of hours to go - and too think you can buy 3 wooden spoons for a $1 After looking at the Forest Spirits on those Knife Handles is has given me a few more clues on what I need to do to improve my work, thanks for posting them
