Green Moon

#1 Post by daniel boon » Wed Nov 28, 2012 8:12 pm

" Green Moon" my $50 knife.
Well it came today, "The Swan River Fighter" 14-3/4" long with the blade a bit over 9". Made by Karl Andersen, "Andersen Forge", absolutely AWESOME.
To keep it short, I had $25 each way on "Green Moon" in the Melbourne Cup, and it paid $20.60 win, and $6.80 place, a cool $685, (money for jam). So what better way to spend my $50? and I had enough for a FEW beers too.
I am pretty useless on the computer, but there are some pics on Karls site (Andersen Forge), they are in knife galery 13, the third knife I think--Swan River Fighter--aka--Green moon. If nothing else, you'll see some great Knives.
Cheers Dan

Great knife from a very well regarded maker. I have followed his works for a number of years, yours is one that would have sorely temped me,

Congrats!

Discord, thanks for the pic's. I love it, fits my hand great, and for its size feels quite light. And the takedown handle is a nice touch.

Karl makes some awesome knives. Check out his site for some serious knife porn, been getting some pics of his new ones as he makes them. And figuring that one of a good thing is not enough, I have another one on order.
