Medieval Dagger
Hi all,
While this is not a practical utility it still needs to look the goods.
Apart from the crest on the pommel it was all hand made. blood sweat and tears.
Do note (and Tony if you could pass on my thanks to the big Kahuna for letting me have piece Id appreciate it.) The handle is made from Lillydale blackwood It was microwave seasoned (as I didnt have the luxury of time) and it came up just magic.
The ladies dagger is only 9 inches long but still demands respect. Hilt is solid brass and pommel is hollowed out(to lessen the weight a little).
I did forget a photo of the sheath which is a typical period correct leather sheath. Hopefully the new owner will send me a snap soon.
Had to learn many a lesson on making this. Like something out of Sniper, the whole thing breaks down into blade, pommel, but and hilt pieces..if you know where to twist. Yet is rock solid in the hand.
Photos removed until new owner unveils.
Permission granted, photos returned

Re: Medieval Dagger
Im so sorry guys, new owner is keeping it under wraps till after the w/e I shouldn't have gone off prematurely
i dont have a forge bigbob, nor the arms to swing the hammer . I got my mad german mate to rough out a tang/blade. I just shaped it from there, as its a reenactment blade I didnt need to harden it. I got to admit tho there were a number of times during the grind where i really really wanted to put an edge on this puppy
