Could be a nice bit of Ladder Damascus

#1 Post by hardgainer » Thu May 31, 2012 9:52 am

I picked up what I felt was a great bit of Ladder Damascus by Grand Leavitt. The Buck Tarini Strider was customized by ePrague.
The handle is Elk. The handle also has standoffs of 7075 aircraft grade aluminium. The liners are Buck Strider with a 440c custom thumb stud.I thought the blade work was a winner and it sure holds a edge.

Slayer....ment to mention take care. The new custom restrictions now make this a bit of a minefield if importing.
Australian customs are now grabbing folders they feel are a one handed opening knife which are now restricted underSection 13 item 16 .
Suggest you avoid USPS/Australia post service link and use Fed/Ex/USP (costs more but safer). Get supplier to tighten down blade pin if you are importing.
Just another crazy rule. If you want a samuri sword/Gurkha Khukri/Bowie you are ok. Not folders... figure that out
If your goods are seized and you file for recovery and lose (most people will) you are up for all legal costs.
I gather the odd one gets through USPS but you are at the mercy of the mood of the day risky. Could be a big buck writeoff.
You may be aware but I thought I should mention.

The blade is spectacular, but it's always antler handle scales, or bow tips, that catch my eye! Elk or deer, I just like it.
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!
