back in black
lately i felt like doing some knapping after watching some dvd's i have. thought i'd try some techniques from the dvd's and what do you know they work! i really succeeded in thinning this piece down a far bit.
it's black obsidian on a chital brow tine. as usual it's hafted with sinew and pine pitch. i did well at getting it sharp too!
the blade is 3 1/4" long, 2" wide and 3/8" thick at it's thickest point.
thanks for looking.

Very impressive Clinton,
Looks fantastic, are you making a sheath too? I reckon one on some of that chital skin would look the ducks nuts.

i traded some shark leather for it with a guy off the primitive archer forum. i recently recieved some english flint but haven't had a chance to have a go at it yet.
