Floating tang

#1 Post by stringnstik » Mon Feb 07, 2011 6:53 am

Well thats what im calling it. Its when you mix a colouring into the epoxy and allow it to fill in the voids of the filework on the tang. Makes it look like the tang spine is floating?

Not a great photo and Im still working on the shaping. Its very nicely molding to my fingers at the mo so not much more to go. Looks a little weird but feels comfy.

I mixed black ink in with the epoxy and then glued the scales on addin extra epoxy in the filework. Then just sanded it all back

Good job; you can get some excellent effects doing that.

Politics is a game played by dishonest people to gain an unfair advantage!

Never under estimate the strength of a cornered coward.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
