Highly Buffed..Finished Pics
Just a few of the progress on the latest knife I am making for a guys B/day.I used buff horn for the handle this time its the first time working it and was very differant to timber thats for sure.Blade is the normal carbon steel I use hand forged bevels on the blade with brass pins.

Here are the finished pics of the complete package. It did not go as planned as when getting it ready to pack for postage this morning I managed to slice the knife through the side of the sheath so had to start over to get it ready for the post tomorrow. Anyway I like this sheath better and it is now ready to be sent off.I sure hope the b/day boy likes it.

That is one really nice knife!
I received it this afternoon as a birthday present from that ratbag and scoundrel, the one-and-only Tony Jensen! Thanks, Tony!
And Kim, thank you! You are a man of many talents, and your skill and craftsmanship are much appreciated.
I look forward to putting this knife to work on something delicious. I can already taste a camp roast with mashed potato and gravy... I'll be sure to post some photographs of the event when it happens.
Cheers,
Ben

And I especially like the buffalo horn handle, as these magnificent creatures are one of my favourite beasts. Thanks again!

Glad you like it mate and hope that it serves you well.Just remember that I am a plumber not a knife maker and I have never used buff horn before so although I let it sit a couple of weeks to let it settle it may give you probs down the track.I hope not but if you try not to expose it to extremes of temp it should behave itself.IF however the horn fails feel free to send it back and I can put a nice timber handle on it or make you another knife whichever you like.
