competition equipment checklists for longbow

Got a joke too good to keep to yourself? This is where to put it. While all the other Campfires are expected to be reasonably 'serious' in nature, this is where we let our hair down.

 love it, not a bad list at all Jeff.

I'm too paranoid to leave the house - but if I did I would add to that list, one concealed dagger, one fighting knife and loop saw (garrote) in car under seat, one razor-sharp spyderco folder in pocket for touchy-feely reassurance. No true paranoid would ever leave the house without 'em! And you forgot the maglite (and spare batteries and bulbs), snake-bite kit and a big book to read while waiting for the RACV, NRMA or equivalent because the car is SURE to break down on such an important journey!

I have to admit to wearing the Batman belt, actually Fatman belt.
Well if you have a bigger waistline you can fit more gear on it......I have a fair bit on mine but have used it all and never been in the situation where I did not have what I need. I do wear the same belt/kit for paddock walking, field, target and clout......it always amuses me quietly when target folk look at your fold knife multitool then wonder why you have a drop point sheath knife.....even that comes in handy for deep [someone else's] point extraction.

I used to bring along a wheel along huge tool box to help compound archers at the club repair gear...I now offer them the use of a longbow or point them in the direction of the shed....I reckon if you cannot fix it easily yourself you have got problems. I will help if I can but why would they think a longbower would know anything about a compound bow? It cracks me up when I get asked if I am carrying Allen keys...that is a fractured piece of unthought out hopefullness but does not happen with a longbower.
