Rotwing Bow troubles-limb speed

Got a joke too good to keep to yourself? This is where to put it. While all the other Campfires are expected to be reasonably 'serious' in nature, this is where we let our hair down.

Rotwing Bow troubles-limb speed

#1 Post by stringnstik » Fri Mar 04, 2011 7:36 am

HI, all
need your advice. Im having a little bit of trouble getting decent speed out of the bow I made. It just seems to flop about too much.

Im also having trouble with the glue I have used..it still smells a bit fishy.

Here is a picture of my wife holding the bow

"I am the arrow..the arrow is me...together as one...I fly to thee"
"the stick maybe crooked and the string hath no form,
then married by bowyer, transforms when first drawn"
"twang....thud"

I dare say you are losing speed due to wind resistance, as for the smell well you only have yourself to blame :D .
Good on you for having a go Mark, keep making shavings or should I say scales?
