Can you tell me how to get a notification email of an update to a thread I want to watch, without posting in it please? i'm sure there is something simple to do that I have somehow not seen!

Take a look above your post in the left hand corner , just below "New Topic" , is "Subscribe topic" , although at the moment it says "Unsubscribe topic" due to the fact that you have posted in the thread
