Setting the Gnome record straight

#1 Post by Stickbow Hunter » Thu Jun 11, 2009 5:20 pm

In light of recent discussions concerning Gnome, it has come to the attention of Ozbow Admin that there is a belief that Gnome was 'banned' from the Ozbow forums. This is not true. Gnome was never banned from Ozbow, however his account was rendered 'inactive'. This was completed as per instruction and request as received via PM from Gnome's account. Gnome has since stated that he made no such request and suggests that his account had been hacked. The account has been reinstated.

In future, if for any reason members believe that their accounts are being tampered with, please advise admin ASAP.

We hope this has cleared the air in relation to the above and it was thought appropriate to share this information with the group.

Again thank you to all of the Admin for helping me with this misunderstanding.

It has been a bit of a struggle of late and it seems that we have narrowed the culprit's down.

In future, if for any reason members believe that their accounts are being tampered with, please advise admin ASAP.

Words to be remembered and followed.

Again thank you to all concerned.

Good to hear that it's sorted-out; shame about that sort of monkey-business-tampering, though... Good to see you back, Gnome!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.
