Our First Milestone: The First Month!

#1 Post by erron » Sat Aug 23, 2003 3:47 pm

Well,

we started on the 21/7 this year, so we've made it through the first month!

:) :P :) :P :) :P

The site has acquired a little more polish and a lot more content in that time, and I guess we can say things have settled down to a nice rythm. 8)

We average about 14 posts a day now, which for a small membership isn't too bad. Those of you who haven't yet posted: please feel free to say Hello, and maybe give a bit of detail about who you are, or where your particular Traditional interests lie.

For Everyone: remember, a message board is only as fresh as regular posters make it. So, please try to post every now and then, just so those of us who post habitually don't feel like shameless addicts  Honestly, if I don't get feedback from non-posters of some kind, I won't know what I'm doing, right or wrong. Thanks!

Next week I'll include some of the site stats, if anyone is interested. Amongst other things, these show a very wide spread of visitors from around the globe, including the Seychelles islands!

This week's highlights:

1)
Glenn Newell's article on hunting the Cape is up on the Lore & Legend pages. I've taken the artistic liberty of calling it "Close Encounters of The Caped Kind!" :-) Which I know you probably hate, Glenn, so just let me know if you want it changed, hehehehe...

2)
I've updated the entire Lore & Legend pages to include links to a number of articles on things like quiver, string and arrow making, arrow cresting machines on the cheap, and sharpening broadheads, for starters. Most of these are overseas links, so once again I'll make the whole hearted plea for any Aussie material out there: If you have it, or know where I can link to it, PLEASE tell me. My direct, home email again, is: erron@netspace.net.au. Thanks in advance!

3)
Still waiting on interviews with bowyers, guides and hunters to come back. Will let you know when I have something.

Cheers,

Erron
