Profile - Where are you.

#1 Post by GrahameA » Tue Sep 05, 2006 8:15 am

Hi All

This is a bit of a plea/request for members to complete there profile a little when they get a chance.

Please fill in your location.

On many an occasion people ask for help and then you discover they are located in another country which reallly means you could have given them a much better answer.

Other times items for sale may be skipped as people have no idea where they are located.

To change your profile. Login and then click on profile on the buttons at the top of the page.

Bump

Just though I would do a reminder. It makes life a little easier when people are selling/buying or seeking help. :D

Fair enough Grahame

Could never understand why people wouldn't what to state their location.

Might be dry as a tick, plenty of flies around, temperature in the 40's, pub's run out of beer (yeah well that's a bit serious) sheep out of feed, dam running out of water, all true round here except the beer situation, but you can still take a bit of pride in the place where you permanently camp and it certainly helps when you want to buy gear from someone on Ozbow.

Hi Simon

Neither could I. It makes life so much easier when you know the person you are trying help is, e.g., in England and not Brisbane.

Most people are pretty good and a rough location is good enough.

Ever been to Burcher?

Go to West Wyalong, Turn north 60km or so. End of the railway line.

Summers are hot, real hot, and winters are cold.

Thanks for the info re Burcher, which for some reason perpetually reminds me of canings at school, but what's with the "bump" bit?

Hi Brumbies

Every now and then I push this post back to the top (bump it) as a bit of hint.

We really would like people to fill in their location as it helps in giving better information. e.g. Selling a bow to me is much easier if you are local than if you are located somewhere a long way away or if you need help it can be handy if here is someone in the same town, etc.

Just a reminder asking that you please at least fill in a little of your profile for the reasons given above.

Thanks

Jeff
