"New Handle For Erron" Competition: Win a Dozen Ri

#1 Post by erron » Thu Jul 08, 2004 5:59 pm

As per mass email:
Well, there are now 2 of us Erron's on Ozbow, so I'm going the moniker route!

A prize of a dozen Ribteks (or any other Aussie broadhead you fancy, in your choice of size and style) to the winner of the "Give Erron A New Name" thread in the Announcements forum of the site.

This should give all you smarties a chance to have a go at me (after a week of explaining why I'm leaving my current job to useless bosses I'm used to the abuse, so fire away!)

Welcome, other-Erron, by the way!
:D

Oh, and btw, don't get too excited: management reserves the right to refuse all names - although a winner WILL be decided from the entries - I absolutely refuse to log on as "Pansy Mexican" or whatever Jeff, Buford, the Trashies (and others too numerous and scurrilous to mention) think up!

Well, they called Lawrence of Arabia "el awrance", we could call you "el erron" since you are erron of the outback. jefe (heffay) is the spanish for chief, it might be a good one considering your position here.

BTW, why should the veteran have to change instead of the new guy. I am sure that he can come up with something unique and descriptive for himself.

"The Mexican" or "Amigo" because you are our mate from south of the border.

How about "Ed". We have been having an add on TV plugged heavily of late that features Ed Odinski (sp?), the rally driver, saying how great Mitsubishi cars are. He reminds me a lot of Erron and even talks with the same accent, Arrreeeba! Arrreeeba!

The spelling is, I think, Sensei. Not bad, but a bit pretentious, even for me

Cheers,

I'm a fan of those old 'surfing safari' type movies...

I reckon Erron should be "The Big Kahuna"

Mick.

Well, as he does take responsibility for the worthiness/taste of posts and threads maybe he should be called thesideofcaution, plus it would fit in nicely with his first name... :D :P

Wobzo Fo Dog
god of ozbow? LOL Just a touch pretentious me thinks. Besides, his hat might not fit after being bestowed with a grandiose moniker like that :D

Big Erron and Little Erron? Erron Snr and Erron Jnr? Squatting Bull? Squinting Bull? Squinting Sasquatch? Do you have any barbituate addictions? I've always wished I did so I could use the name 'Sitting Bong'?

Maybe some of you guys who know Erron could give us newbies some short tales and photos to inspire us

It's when someone bignotes themself... when everyone around them thinks they're a wanker :)

PS I'm not suggesting for a moment that Erron is a wanker

PPS: and I mean 'wanker' as part of the Australian slang, not as defined by the English Dictionary. The English definition would confuse things
