A Merry belated Christmas to all and a Happy New Year. Ive been running around like a chicken with his head lopped off so I apologize for not relaying Merry Christmas earlier. Deer season is in full swing right now with the rut going pretty hard and clients that have booked just as hard. I have had several nice Whitetail bucks taken but none with stick and string unless you count the fella that made a far back shot with his compound and made me go swimming the next morning. :O Been a bad season for me as the buck I was after for over 2 and a half months was shot by the same fella that shot the buck with his wheelbow. We had even told the group that he was on the no shoot list. He wasnt anything special (just to me) a true six point that weighed in at 202 pounds and aged at 6 years old. The fella even tried to give the animal to me after he killed it but I politely told him no thanks and left it at that. There are other cull bucks on the place but none in my opinion that have the charcater of this old boy had. I am working currently on that hog and javalina fighting mount that I promised back in the early fall and am about done with the Javalina portion now all I need is the base the boar and the flora. Anyhow have a good new year and God Bless.
