personally love oregon myself, if you can get the decent old stuff. You cant always just a buy a block of wood and expect to get a set of matched out of that block tho,as the grain mass etc changes within that plank. I think someone above mentioned purchase of matched billets, darn good way to start...

I m always concerned about distillers that triple charcoal their yield, as it generally implies lack of reflux cycles in the destistilling process. I have used these in the past too with good results. There are also mini ones (used for polishing fingernails..dont ask how I know that) which are good for very fine work(bone nock ends)

there is of course my patented pool noodle cut to shape, dble sided tape and sandpaper technique :)

Speaking of anvils, the press with the anvils on the base and setters in the rack have also made a massive improvement to my riveting.

Hi all, time is against you, you have two belts to make in one day(including dyeing and sealing) they are medieval belts ie 72 inches looooooooooong yeah them ones that knot and hang down ya front. Thats a lot of pattern repeats my hands are feeling arthritic just thinking about it. enter the arbor....
