Good on you Moreton,
Broke my own rule and went for a beer with a mate who smokes....
As a result I'm on day 2 again now. Still 23 days prior to that with no filthty habit.
Bak on the wagon again - Yee ha!

Hi Kelly - Im the same Aussie from Trad Gang.
Apparently working out the exact species of these are quite an art.
Perhaps one of the Australian botanist sites may help.

Re: Skinned Limbs
I got a pair of schafer silvertip limbs with rattlesnakes skins sent from the US. Didn't even think about customs to be honest and I had no problem.
The limbs cost me $270 so if I had to pay $260 for a radiation treatment I would have been upset.

I think he has joined - or may be lurking.
I'll encourage him to join..... or he won't be able to trust me when he goes down to collect his arrows each end....

Advice on this homemade T/D recurve
Hello, a friend from my archery club has recently completed making his 1st Take down recurve. (And only his 2nd made bow) He was asking me about whether the tiller of his bow looked correct and I suggested rather than me giving him incorrect information I'd post it here. Below is a a picture of my f...

that's pretty good advice Andy! booze is probably the worst trigger, followed by empty hands! Hue Yes I definitely agree with the empty hands part. Last long time quit I started building models at night to distract myself and keep my hands busy. Likewise with the nicorette lozenges I used - I would...

Re: Trying hard to give up the smokes...open to suggestions
Moreton, My quit success is somewhat tainted by the last few months - but I gave up for 3 years and I've just quit again. Suggestions: 1) For the 1st week avoid the "triggers for smoking". For myself I avoid a beer for the first few weeks 2) I use the tablets at first - use them to control...

Re: bows and arrows for sale
Thanks for the reply Tony. I think they might be a little too stiff for my needs.
I was however pimping the Hoyt at my club today - it's a bloody great price for a bow like that.
I also enjoyed the story about the Damon - in Archery Action if I recall correctly? I assume it's the same bow.
Cheers

Tony
Did the arrows shoot ok out of the Hoyt?
I suppose with a bit more weight up front they might not be too stiff.

Wow the archery Centre there's a blast from the past. I still have a back quiver bought from there for my 16th birthday by my Mum & Dad. I use to trundle in there on the train from Cronulla for a shoot on the 18 metre indoor range. Anyone remember Tony who used to work there for Ken? He was a go...

Wow that is a beautiful bow.
Rod do you make these bows to order? If so could you PM me what your asking price is for a similar bow to suit a lady, about 32# at 26"?
A mate at my club would love this thing!

Chuditch if you want the Selway it's yours.
I was only getting it out of curiosity - I doubt I will ever use it in the field. I'm much too set in my ways with my Safari Tuff duiker.
