Re: Another Border
Very nice AXE, that Wolfs head is a nice touch. I also found Border, (both the Sid's and Ann) great to deal with. Very helpful and know what they are talking about, nothing's a problem. Clinton Import Duty is payable if the item exceeds $1000, that includes shipping. If you get the limbs and the ris...

Re: How Fast
Fanto, I have Border HEX6W limbs on my Morisson Wood riser, and they are awesome. And Border also makes (traditional) one piece RC's and LB's, and they rock. A lot of bowyers offer carbon and foam in their bows. Carbon and foam add STABILITY + speed, and you can have the best of both worlds. I also ...

Re: new caribow slynx in the mail..
Fanto, I got the 62" Taiga (3pc TD), with Elk antler tips, riser, Elk woodburning, etc. (All the bells and whistles) It looks great and shoots the same, couldn't fault it in any way. Abe was great to work with. Had a chat with him on the phone, about what I wanted, and the rest by e-mail. The b...

Re: new caribow slynx in the mail..
Fanto- famous last words "This will be the last one". I don't know how many times I said that. Actually I said that when I got my Tip 1pc LB, now I have a "Rose oak Ultra Delight" coming in October, and have been looking at the "RER Arroyo" lately. That will be my last ...

Re: new caribow slynx in the mail..
Fanto, congrat's on the new bow. Abe makes great bows, and lookers. I have a Taiga, and he was great to deal with, he got me to send him some measurements, and he nailed the grip.
Enjoy, Cheers Dan

Tom, I have a 40# Ragim Wolf that I use as a guest bow. No stacking at my 29.75" draw. The rope (string) that came with left a lot to be desired, got a 9strand Ultracam or Rhino, can't remember which one, and shoots great and is pretty quiet.

Thanks everyone, still waiting for my cigar on this one. All the boys are going to the local on Friday, to wet the babies head, so hopefully I'll get one then. Might just bring some along, just in case.

Another one
Well my daughter had a boy yesterday. That makes it 2 grandsons in less than 2 months, to go with 3 girls to start of with. Mother and son are doing well, and Grandad is happy to have another boy.

Two Tips for sale at the same time, a 1pc and a TD, take your pick. You'll be hard pressed to find a finer bow IMO.

Ben, I can't believe the Tip hasn't sold. Not only is it cheap, you just never see the 1pc Tips come up for sale. If it was at my weight, I'd buy it as a Backup. And yours is the 2'nd nicest 1pc Tip I've seen

Re: McCoulough 59'er
Have been shooting my new LB lately, so after shooting it today, I got the 59'er out. Bingo, no prob's today. Only shot it at 20m, but was using the arrows for the LB, which are a bit stiff for it, getting 4"-5" groups with a couple of flyers, but pretty happy. I think that shooting the LB...

Re: grips on recurves?
My S-Tips are checkered, and have leather grips on some other bows, and on the ones that are plain, I stick a strip of skateboard grip tape. It's self adhesive, and got a piece about 700mmx300mm from the surf shop for about $10. Enough to last for years.
