Yeah, I've been doing a bit of looking round and research... I really like the 'Vista Maverick' back quiver. Not leather I know, but I have seen and worn Tracker's one before, and it sits nice and high, anf firm. I also really like 2 other features, 1. the big zip pocket for carrying the hunting ext...

But surely a good fitting back quiver is possible...... :?: What dimensions are suitable for my ar...

I think I'll go without. But Gilnockie, how would the use of such a rest have anything to do with a heavy shafted arrow dropping more than a light arrow :?:

To my understanding, 'adder' points are a small peice that is placed behind a screw in fieldpoint to stop total penetration (and add to a fatal wounding) of small game like rabbits and such... :D

The Big Weekend Walk

We didn't arrow anything, there it is first up, pure and simple. I personally only saw the **** end of a small pig as it ran across the track infront of the vehicle on our way out. The other pair of blokes used rifles the whole weekend (very soft, as I repeatedly pointed out), but the mate I s...

We'd all love a hunt now and then, but I doubt that you have built up much of a rapport (spelling ??) with 'us' yet :? Nothin personal, just how it is mate.....

To finish an arrow??

Was wondering what is the the go with finishing my VA shafts for hunting... Keith did mention a laquer or varnish to me, I can't recall the exact name. Obviously I am after a durable and slik finish for penetration, so will a normal floor varnish type thing do the job? Should I varnish the whole sha...

Forro - a gentleman

In need of some 'real' (hey Jeff) arrows I contacted Keith F of VA Hardwood Shafts only a day or two back. I am needing them for my first hunt on pigs this comming weekend, and so I'll be putting the Wallace T/D through it's paces for sure :D Anyway, Keith has cut and tapered me some shafts, and I'l...
