I'd have to say NSW, can hunt all species of deer here (except for Hog Deer), as well as pigs and goats. Fairly diverse terrain aswell, from the mountains to the plains out west, NSW seems to offer more.

I think I was around twelve with one of my mates. We used to go out with his ferrets (seems to be a recurring theme here!)and bag some bunnies. His ferrets however weren't so well behaved and we spent quite a bit of time digging the little buggers out. That got me into hunting, as i'd been into fish...

Mick,
No bonefish on Rarotonga, but there are some on the other islands further north. I was having a good look for them when snorkelling in the lagoon. apparently the bonefish and giant trevally just aren't in rarotonga, seems a bit strange to me though :?:

Erron, you have no idea. Jeff, That was the only morning I got up for a sunrise(6.30am), the rest of the time I dragged myself out of bed between 9.00-10.00 after some fairly big nights :D . Just arrived back from a week in the Cook Islands in the south Pacific. Stayed on the Island of Rarotonga, and it was beautiful. Just thought i'd show you a couple of Island sunrises over the lagoon in front of where we stayed.

Just an idea, but how about getting the Ozbow arrowhead logo printed up on some clear stickers and put them on the handle of the trailhawk, and just cover it with some varnish.
Shouldn't be too expensive and would look good, or do you think that is a bit cheap & nasty?

I like the look of the Jason cutter one, but as gundy said, would prefer something along the lines of a custom Ozbow jobby. $200 seems reasonable.

Jindy and Mick, you shouldn't have any problems with the sambar shedding in Oct, as most of them do this around nov/dec. I've seen hard antler stags as late as xmas. September is one of ther better times of the year for seeing big stags, as they have finished rutting and are feeding in open areas la...

My Knife

Here is my trusty old knife. It was made by Brian Morgan in Albury around 1990(?). It is a bit over 9 inches overall, with a blade a touch over 4 inches. Handle is Sambar antler. Cannot for the life of me remember what steel the blade is, but keeps a good edge. When I was about 15, I broke about hal...

Draw weights @ longer draw length

My bow is #51 @ 28", seeing as my draw is 30.5" I was just wondering what kind of draw weight i'd be shooting. Is there a general rule of thumb for drawing past the specified draw length? (e.g. 5lbs per inch?)
Out of curiosity, thats all.
