I might be wrong(often am) and be seeing things but it looks to me like the arrows are flying a fair bit stiff in the last few shots and they are carbons by the look of it.In my experience this can make the bows a bit noisier unless the arrow are nice and heavy as you hear the arrow slap the riser. ...

Thanks guys yes it is hairy oak to match the timber in the bow.It is hand forged from a piece of steel from an old saw mill blade and takes a very nice edge.I have not used this wood before as I have been a bit suss on it after a bit dried out in the shed and started to crack along the darker lines ...

Well Sue I sort of have now...I sold that recurve but I have a takedown riser here so I made a set of limbs for it on the weekend.If it works out not too heavy I will shoot that one.

If I dont have to make them mate any colour is great but I dont like my chances.
