ET, Yep, it's a pfleuger reel. they're pretty good aren't they? I borrowed that one off a mate, and I'll definitely getting one soon. The yella got the thumbs up from the better half, she enjoyed it. It helps when they come out of clear water & sandy creek bed. Glad you boys liked the photos. Memo

Yellowbelly

Snuck out on Monday morning to Old Man Creek which is an anabranch of the Murrumbidgee. Walked all morning looking for a cod, but very low water levels made it hard going. Managed to find one good deep hole and a mate and myself scored a nice Yella each. He will be gracing the dinner table tonight. ...

Hey mick,
If you like the locator grip and sleve takedown try one of these;
http://www.foxarchery.com/
I got the artic fox recently and it is fast, quiet and I find the locator grip easier to shoot than the Hill style

Male and Female

You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female. Here are some examples: FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them. PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off, it takes a while to wa...

Maskn, I've only shot them in my backyard, so that is only 25m - but they fly beautifully. I don't notice any differrance in trajectory, but they seem to be spinning better as they leave the bow. Sparra, the top right fletch is usually on the arrow in the standard three fletch. There's that one, the...

Four Fletch Anyone?

Does anyone use four fletches on their arrows? I was reading about the benefits of four fletch in the 60/120 degree configuration. It was saying that it gives the best clearenceon the shelf. I fletched up two arrows and shot them and must say I like it. Having four 5 1/2 bananna feathers might seem ...

Just thought I’d share with you guys my new bow. It is an ‘Arctic Fox’ by Fox Archery 53# @28. It is a two piece sleeve takedown with a locator grip, and is deflex/reflex when unstrung. The riser is Cocolobo and the limbs are bamboo with a veneer of Juniper on the front of the li...

Merimbula Fishing Trip

Just got back from a weekend trip with some mates. Went down to Merimbula on the NSW south coast chasing some winter flathead. On friday we got a couple of nice ones (40 & 50cm) and had them for dinner - beautiful. Caught them using squidgee soft plastics. The next day was beautiful weather but ...

Here's an email I got, sometimes kids just crack me up. It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders. Their insight may surpri...

I remember waking up to them every morning from when I was about three or four, up until we moved house about five years later. It's one of my earliest memories, and still to this day I just love the sound.

I was thinking of getting some topo maps of my hunting areas, and was wondering where you guys get your maps from? Any suggestions?
I went to a camping shop that had maps, and asked and their reply was
"Yeah we probably should get some more in" :roll: so I thought i'd just get them myself
