Having not been out to my main Sambar spot for many months I ventured out this afternoon to see whats going on, plenty of fresh sign and some nice rubs about indicated a few deer were around.

entering the gully head were the deer were last sighted we slowed right down looking to find the deer again, I expected to see them on the opposite face where we had last seen them and looking down through the thick regrowth I was unable to see them, moving forward we could hear a wallaby higher up ...

I had never seen Red deer here before so I started looking for his Ladies, just below him in the bracken I thought I could see a hind but was not sure and despite looking I could not see any hinds, I thought the deer were about 160m away and John about 250m away so 200m sounds good to me and it diff...

The former TBGA is up again, as I understand it all the posts were lost so it's a blank canvas to be built upon, hopefully in time it will be another great Aussie bowhunting site.
