Re: That is a lot of Deer.
Yeah Rod, They must have lots of it. That was only bow season, I understand that the rifle season comes after the bow season. There wil be a lot more deer on the ground. Does anyone knows how many deer can a bowhunter bag around there in season ? Perhaps 2 or 3... Excuse my ignorance on the matter, ...

Re: That is a lot of Deer.
I reckon it will be hard to recover from this 17.000 in one year. Perhaps they won't have deer season next year. How long takes for a deer to grow into an adult animal ? 17.000 seems to be a big number to me. Imagine going to Texas (Qld) for five weeks and by the end of it there's 17.000 goats on th...

17.000 in five weeks !!!!!
I reckon there's no need for so much killing in such a short time.
Are deers a feral (pest) in the USA ?
Otherwise they are just doing what they did to the buffalos a century or so ago, extermination.
That's no good, but correct me if I am wrong.
Alex.

Fantastic job in this one Daryl.
The handle looks great, well shaped, looks like fits perfectly in the hand.
The Black wattle makes for a nice handle, looks a bit like Jarrah.
Good on ya!

Very good job on the bow.
Is that your first bow ever or have you done selfbows before?
If it's your first bow ever, bloody good job for a first one.
Nice tips, shape of handle is alright, handles are a very personal thing.
Nice finish.
Good on ya!

Re: Changing from 2" to 1.75"
Hi Kim.
So you think the ratio of wood to glass would be a factor of increased performance or increased smoothness?
Are you not worrying with the torsional aspects of a narrow limb or it just doesn't happens because of the extra thickness?
Good to have input of you guys on this matter.

Re: Changing from 2" to 1.75"
Yeah Jeff, have been thinking that also. Main reason would be to reduce time shaping and sanding the riser. But after some research around I found most recurves are 1.75" instead of 2". The only reason I have been using 2" lams was to avoid limb torsion but with good alignment 1.75&qu...

Changing from 2" to 1.75"
Have been thinking about this for a while.
Change the width of the recurves from 2 inches to 1.75 inches.
I reckon it is going to save me a lot of sanding and make for a more sleek bow.
Am I on the right path, or just wondering too much?

Nice work again Rod.
Flawless finish.
What do you think of the weight of the diamond wood Rod?
I got one charcoal for my next bow but I think that it's pretty heavy.
Ah! Almost forgot.
Nah mate! Not sick of seeing your bows.

Good one Wayno.
Good looking riser.
60" is my favorite size.
Got me inspired to make another one, it's been some time since my last bow building.
Just starting to think about stack thickness and such. Damn, here we go again...
Can't wait to see this one finished Wayno.

Hey Rod.
Another good job.
Nice smooth curves on it.
I definetly prefer bows with some curves on it and this one came out very nice.
The finish looks really good as well. Good glue lines also.
Well done.
