Re: use of " no nocks" on longbow strings in trad comps.
Further to the above is it OK to have one nocking position for the arrow but that position be between 2 clamp on nock sets so the arrow does not move on the string because of finger / string pinch?

Re: Glues for sticking feathers to lacquered wood shafts
Hi guys, I always wondered if fletching tape is any good particularly on helical fletches; i envisaged feathers coming loose pretty quickly. Up untill now I have used the selleys shockproof superglue when sticking the feathers on to bare wood and then lacquering between the feathers with a paint bru...

Re: Bow Strings
Hi Little John,
I know I sound picky its just that I was advised that the 2 bows I want the strings for are not suited to materials; I was told to use dacron which is fair enough as they are older bows that don't have the reinforced tips that you need for FF and Dyneema I think its called.
Cheers

Bow Strings
Hi,
Does anyone out there in Ozbow land make strings as I am after a couple of strings; flemish would be nice but 2 colour ordinary would do but they would have to be dacron or a material along those lines not dyneema or fast flite,
Cheers

Re: Bows that qualify for trad shoots and restrictions
Hi Lyonal, I was experimenting tonight again with arrow shafts. I find that from an aluminium point of view 2315 Eastons with a 145gr point at 30" long shoots great. Tonite I tried cutting down a 72# shaft I had to 29&1/2" and glued a 100 gr point on it it and it was much closer to cut...

Hi Sue,
There is a guy on the australian bowhunting forum looking to buy wood and feather arrows in the wanted to buy section. I think he should get some made up as he wont get ones to suit a 35# recurve that are any good to readily.
Cheers
