Re: Having a B**ch
I was not going to comment again, but cant help it. A club and its members who volunteer their hard work and time, make the rules of a shoot . If you like the rules, then go enjoy yourselves. If you don't like the rules DON'T GO. I attend between 6-8 different Trad shoots a year, where there are bet...

Ditto Bob, Sue and I have missed both Caboolture and now lakeside Trad shoots.
I will have a word with the man upstairs and see if he can arrange good health and good days for our future shoots.

Thanks Den, Sue and I had just finished packing the caravan when we got the bad news.
So, all I can say is we are sorry not to catch up with all the Trad Family, and you guys at Caboolture that always put on a good shoot.
Hope you don't get flooded out!
Best regards, Ronster

Re: Having a B**ch
What is so special about you, that a club needs to change their rules. They do all the hard work to put a shoot together and it is their right to make whatever rules they like.
So again If you don't like the rules don't go. Go to the many clubs that let you shoot what you like.

Clinglish, You don't have to abuse people because of their preference. If you don't like the rules just don't go.
I shoot several types of bows with Woods, carbon and alloy arrows, but attend the shoots that I choose, depending upon my preferences.

Re: Gladstone Longbow and Recurve Muster 2016
Thanks Zan, I know everyone will have an opinion on this as they are entitled, but my opinion is that wood arrows cannot compete against carbon and alloy arrows. As you know I shoot both, but the huge advantage that carbon and alloy arrows have over wooden arrows make the competition unfair. The Gla...

Re: Fletching tape
Hi All, I have used it for more than 5 years and I can honestly say that I have had only 2 or three issues and that was down to high humidity. I now use plain white wraps on my arrows and have been doing so for around 3 years they also crest well. The tape goes on easy and you can shoot your arrows ...

Re: What material is the string for the Hoyt Buffalo
Hi Ian, the Hoyt Buffalo is a modern bow and will accept any string material (fast flight type and dacron) My favorite choice of string is BCY D97 it is low stretch, low creep and is widely used. check out both BCY and Brownell's sites for more info.

Re: Bows that are Trad for comps / events
Hi Ian, the Martin Jaguar was a good bow and very good value for money. There are and have been a lot of discussions about what is or is not Trad, but my view is to check the rules for the club putting on the shoots and if in doubt send them an email or call them to clarify any issues. That way you ...

Re: Bows that are Trad for comps / events
Hi Ian, The martin jaguar has been allowed at trad events in the past. Metal riser is ok. The limbs are standard bolt on and there is no adjustment of the limbs. My wife shot a Martin Jaguar TD Recurve at Trad events a few years back. with full knowledge of the events organisers. Sue Wallace would I...

Re: Bows that are Trad for comps / events
Hi Ian, the Buffalo has been knocked back at previous Trad shoots because of its limb adjustments. At a recent Trad shoot a mate of mine was allowed to shoot his buffalo but his score was not allowed. That is the reason for my comments. PS: you are right about the limb alignment, should have been ad...
