Looks a bit light on to be a serious rub tree mate, and very low to the ground as far as rubs go. Wombats and kangaroos will sometimes scratch at trees and goats could do the same marks.

Hope that helps, maybe have a good scout for prints around the base next trip.

Have you heard anyone whistling yet mate, it can be hard to master to start with(and to explain). If not Ill try find a video of it so you know what it sounds like(chatter in the whistle kind of thing)

Hey Steve, a lot of archers have walked away with that same experience from Manuel, I got so sick of him give me dozens of fletched and crested arrows for nothing that now I'll only take them if we trade.
