+1 Jeff

For me it has been a long time between drinks but yes I would like to reacquaint myself with even just putting a bunny in the pot.

Hopefully Perry and I might get away for a few days if the calenders cooperate.

Happy New Year everyone.

Be safe and enjoy it how you best see fit.

For me (bit like Craig) I am at a bit of a loss as to the mad mob euphoria of a clock ticking to 12 midnight.

So my head will be in either a book or on a pillow.

Awesome stuff there Grahame,

If the spindle was slightly more rounded it would make a nice wood arrow straightener.

Seriously looking at a set of these myself.

Congratulations mate!

I been thinking it has been awhile since the last grandchild.

Me thinks it is about time for you to start making a junior model of the longbows and recurve.

Single handedly you have the potential to keep this sport alive in Australia.

Sorry Grahame,

Did not mean to break it.

Seems the only additional character was Daryl having some sort of corroboree in the background.

Knowing Daryl, this is entirely within the scope of normal behaviour.

The other link I have now subscribed so as to watch later.

Thanks Grahame,

There is so little footage of the the Zeta in action I am actually surprised.

I have only been able to find some very short footage of Steve Morley shooting his Zeta.

Maybe I need to look at more of the IFAA and FITA stuff online and pay closer attention

Hey mate, there were a few former Grange members on here bsrecurve and Perry. The last field archery club I was a member of was North Albert Field Archers. Hey Andy, Thanks mate, I have been checking and rechecking the site. I love the look of both bows but will probably choose the Zeta simply due to the slightly more classical or streamlined lines. Well maybe I should say I will buy a Zeta FIRST. Since I'm getting a freebee from the wife (minds out of...

Hybrid in archery is not used in it's literal meaning, same as "instinctive" isn't, remember that one. It is used to describe a bow that has both longbow and recurve characteristics within it's design, same as a Hybrid car runs on petrol and electricity. Best of both worlds just lik...

Re: Recurve, Longbow, Deflex/ Reflex bow nomenclature.

Scuzz, The D/R bow you speak of might be closer to a Recurve than a Straight bow, but both D/R and Straight bows can be "Longbows". The question about D/R and R/D is nicely displayed in the diagram supplied by Greybeard. The majority of archers may be using the term D/R incorrectly and if ...

Troy, From my understanding item 6 refers to a handle [straight back] such as the Howard Hill handle and would exclude handles like the Fox Triple Crown [curved back]. Item 7 excludes sculptured handles such as the Zeta, Fox Triple Crown, pistol grip etc. I have a 58 inch D/R bow which the maker ca...

Re: Recurve, Longbow, Deflex/ Reflex bow nomenclature.

For me the crucial question is how can we say someone's bow is categorically NOT a longbow unless it meets NONE of the various archery associations criteria for longbow. So it might be said that such and such a bow is not a Longbow according to association A but is according to association B. etc. e...
