Re: GROZER BIO COMPOSITE has arrived / and EBay Asiatic
If you go for the thumb ring use a horn one. I tried the leather one and damn near killed my thumb. My eBay special is like yours but I classify it as a fun one to shoot for the money. I would love to get a good one, and will one day as I really like it.

I have the same dacron flemish string on my bow the last 18 months. It gets at least a hundred shots through it each week and still going strong.

On a small piece you could try painting the ends the help stop checking and shove it in a car in the sun. Natural hotbox and doesn't cost anything to run.

Can't be right Grahame! I do the same thing each shot and they are still all over the shop. Now this bloke is saying I can't blame my bow !!
It supports what most of us have said for years when people "have" to upgrade because they have gone past their equipment.

Re: Doggers run down on ABC
You are right about the wallies who cut fences, bog up paddocks and generally cause problems they certainly give any form of hunting a bad name and let the nay sayers have a foothold. No matter what they say about cruelty, hunting and dogging are kinder than baiting BUT the public never see a baited...

Re: Doggers run down on ABC
I don't know why people always think of banning as a control on an activity they don't know anything about. There are already laws for cruelty that could be strengthened so they are more easily enforced. The real doggers who quickly dispatch the pigs would be OK but the ones that "take the stin...

I was right. Spent a couple of hours delving in that little lot and I think I will have to re-read it several times to fully get my head around it. Great stuff, while you don't have to know it all it sure will make setting up gear and improving technique that bit "easier".
