thanks boys. i was given 2 woven boars that have a hardness of 14 which i think is close to spotted gum, i think. i was going to back it with a peace of bamboo.

has anyone made bows from bamboo floor boards. which are the best? woven, horizontal or vertical bamboo floor boards? if so any tips for a long bow?
