Re: Look behind U
My guess is it is another photoshop effort , like the pic that was going round with a guy with an Elk he had just dropped and a large cougar eyeballing him in the background. The pic below was shown to be a photoshop effort , a guy on a forum posted the original photo the cougar was taken from , but...

Re: Archery comp in Afghanistan

They would have modern equipment available there , just as when you watch them shooting in Bhutan wearing traditional garb sporting the latest Hoyt ...

Re: Buying a Samick recurve - advice
The sage as jeff said will be fine at 29 inch draw , where it says 28 inch , it is meaning for example 60# @ 28 , that 28 inches is what the poundage of a majority of bows are rated at.
For a 29 inch draw just add about 3 pounds ( per inch of draw ) to its rated weight .

Re: Hunting show on TV tonight ( thursday )
Top stuff thanks for the link , i dont care if it is Kiwi , Aussie or yank , fishing or huting with guns , wheelies or trad , any of it is better than the endless rounds of cooking , or singing / dancing crap that is on TV nowadays.

Hunting show on TV tonight ( thursday )
Hi all , some of you might have noticed by now that NITV ( national indigenous telvision ) is being broadcast on free to air digital , hopefully nationwide , but not sure of that ( have a go at retuning your tv to find out). Anyway , i saw the ads yesterday for a hunting show that is on tonight ( th...

Re: Antique Samurai t/d bow
certainly interesting , and does look like it has some age to it , but i would like at least some proper information and furthermore a provenance ( sp? ) certificate before i laid out some cash for it .
my guess would be late 1800's - early 1900's

Re: 2020 shafts in autumn orange. are they a collectors item
There was a thread on archery talk a fair few months ago about the same type of shafts , seems there is still some floating about in peoples kits. Was a guy only the other day selling a dozen 2413's. Dont think they are all that rare , another guy has a few laying about of 2016 , 2413 , 2514 that he...

Some nice arrows you've built up there , i also have one of the same cases and is a great bit of kit , especially to keep feathers nice and straight . Are the foam inserts where you have the points socketed into standard or foamed in by yourself ? Mine doest have them , but is a great idea , i curre...

Re: Carbon shooters must watch!! how to find the stiff "side
i dont know if it is relevant to all brands of carbon arrows , as there may be different manufacturing processes involved , he was talking specifically about grizzly sticks . Another way i have seen is to plug both ends of an unfletched shaft with nocks , before the insert is glued in , and float th...

I also tried the shoe type water proofing cans , though the couple of cans i picked up were the KIWI brand waterproofer .
From memory they were round 6 bucks a can at my local BI-LO supermarket , which are linked to coles , probably exactly the same stuff but in a different labelled can.
