there is a lot of conjecture of the size of the army's ,ranging from H5's 5000 against french 11/12000 most range H5 9000 to the french 36000, a good book to read is arrow storm gives details of of men at arms ,knights and also what men they took ,to how much they paid per person cost of bow's arrow...

last year a bowyer called steave stratton came out here and taught how to make longbows and gave us tutoring on how to shoot the war bow ,he was one of two bowyers who was aloud to play with the mary rose bows ,he was telling us that the average arrow was 3 oz and hit at over 320kph ,argincourt had ...

its still only a black powder cartridge ,the double rifles or elephant guns were twice that size and still only traveled at 1200 fps, or there abouts.

in nealy 50 yrs of hunting ,ive never needed a tree stand or a blind and neither have my mates i hunt with. i dont know weather id call it hunting, but the skills have to be there to shoot like that which i think are spot on ,quick and clean.
