Re: A Bad Day

Hey Grant, Glad the op went well and you are recovering from your other "accident". Now all you have to do, is place a rubber stopper on one end your longbow, and shape a nobble handly at the other end and you have a walking "aid" and you can get around a field course. Slowly of ...

Re: Bill Baker Shield Trad shoot at Barambah Bowhunters Nanango

For this clubs first Trad only tournament - what a top weekend it was. Talking with people I haven't seen for years. The format was relaxed, everyone had a good time - despite the rain trying very hard to dampen things (pardon the pun). There was a great variety of events which free flowed over the ...

Re: State Trad 3D titles

Hey Mick, There is already a set of Traditional Only rules that the shoots in Qld and I think some NSW (but don't quote me) shoot under, which I was considered sending to Lilydale for them to just have a look at. The shoots that I have been to, vary in events from club to club depending on their ran...

Bulky Bow Arm Sleeve

Hi All. When I was at the Lilydale shoot last year, shooting in my raincoat and thermals, my bow arm became rather bulky with clothing. A half dozen elastic bands got me through the shoot, however something more permanent was required, so I have come up with this little idea. You can wear whatever y...

Re: Bill Baker Shield Trad shoot at Barambah Bowhunters Nanango

Hi Grunter Hunter, I understand what you're saying, however - the Trans Tasman shoot was started by Bill prior to 2005, at the Gladstone Muster, and a few of us actually went over to the TePuke Trad shoot in NZ 2005/2006 to "defend" it - of course with Bruce and Amber in the NZ team on hom...

Hey Ding, There will be a few people "lost" from shooting timbers, because they've never had a good set of timbers in the first place, so when they start shooting they will be given alloys/carbons as their first introduction never knowing the experience of "Trad" so will not know...

What an absolutely wonderful weekend. The wide variety of events is amazing, and there may be even more next year a little birdie told me this morning. hello everyone. this is one very bleary eyed little person just wanting to say a Very Big WELL DONE to the Lilydale club for the weekend shoot. Hey Gavin, that's great news.
Steve has just finished, and sent off, a set of heavy Mountain Ash hunting shafts for a guy in Cairns that is heading over to New Guinea and I had a bit of trouble tracking down the Black Stump broadheads he was after, but I'll be right now.

Re: Arrow spine-making dials-warning contains tricky trig.

Hi Mark, Dare I ask what has prompted your little exercise,? I haven't actually read the whole thread, but I do know that 500 on the guage equates to approx 51# spine arrow and 400 is close to 65#, so the figures on your guage aren't lining up (so to speak). We've had two dial guage spining jigs in ...

Hi Jape, thanks for your kind words. I had some fun dying the material for the limb socks, and as the material is hand dyed every single limb sock will be unique. I've decided to make them extra long, so each person can individualize them, so if you want them to go up and over the handle, they can, ...
