Re: First arra build along
ere's kinda where I am heading... This pic shows the rough test of the, erm, dare I say it - the red cock feather. I am not sure if I will keep the thin blue splices as I could be in for a world of pain doing them??? Mind you, there are only 12 + 3. Any thoughts. http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/a...

Re: First arra build along
I showed some feathers that I had dyed that were a bit curled, they did in fact die - I killed them Did you try steaming them back to shape or did the dye stick them together and ruin them that way? Feathers can look pretty tatty but with a bit of steam they can be made to look quite acceptable aga...

Okay - update, I stuffed up those last feathers - what a learning experience dying bloody feathers. :x Anyway after much trial and error I have sussed out how to effectively get the royal blue I was after. THe blue is a bit darker than in the feathers pic but more accurate in the next. http:...

Re: New quiver
I have a back quiver but it is a lottery as to which arrow head I will pull out. To resolve that problem, on the arrows that I make and have made in the past, I use different colours. For its only the fletching that I can see when I'm wearing the back quiver so I use red for the nock and he...

An old trick for rust
... Last night I dug out an old file from the shed and it was quite rusty. I used a tall thin glass container and filled it with cheap white vinegar, pop the file in, you will see micro bubbles rising off the surface. , the next morning it is all clean and revitalised. I imagine this would work a tr...

THe good thing about these, is that I can carry broadheads, small game heads and judos at the same time and easily select which one I want to use when out roving. I have a back quiver but it is a lottery as to which arrow head I will pull out.

Wow, glad you weren't hurt too bad, that could have been real nasty.
I would send the images to TradTech, you never know they may replace it? It is worth a try and will cost you nothing to ask.

Could anyone tell me in their experience if Minwax wipe-on poly is compatible with Bohning Fletching Tape. Thanks.
