At Last! (Resumption of hunting in NSW State forests)
Finally! Got this email today... A number of changes to the way hunting activities are administered and regulated in NSW occurred in 2013. I thank you for your patience during this time. The Game and Feral Animal Control Amendment Bill 2013 was recently passed by both houses of the NSW Parliament wi...

I saw this doco a few months ago, I was also gobsmacked. Great bit of TV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rVevX-YXqo for anyone that hasn't seen it. Also worth checking out is this radio show about a 450 year old 'robot' http://www.radiolab.org/story/140632-clockwork-miracle/ The story behind it is ...

Re: OK Troops,
I've been reading books on a Kindle for years, they're fantastic. Cheap as chips now, too. I even bought one for my nan a couple of years ago and she loves hers, too  The ability to set the font as large as you want is great for 'older' readers (not accusing you Roadie  ) and I love ...

Re: New Arrows, May need some help.
Hi mate I started with the same setup, 70" 30#@28 ILF target bow. I also have a 30" draw and I was using Beman Carbon Flash 750 arrows. I think I was paying about $7 each, fully fletched. They're really light and I was very happy with the pretty flat trajectory out of such a light bow. I d...

Re: Caboolture Bowmen Club Questions
The 3daaa rules say you can shoot at a club 3 times as a visitor before having to get 3daaa membership, so you should be fine. You do not have to be a member of the Association to give the game a go. You can shoot at any Sanctioned, Special Event or Club Shoot however you are not eligible to win an ...

Re: Northern rivers state of origin shoot question
You can, but don't have to. Recurve Un-Aided (RU) A recurve or longbow without a sighting device. A rest and plunger are all that may reside within the sight window. A limb mounted draw check or clicker may only be used . There will be no markings on the bow or on the bowstring that could be constru...

Re: Northern rivers state of origin shoot question
I haven't been to the state of origin, but I have been to the NRFA club at Casino a few times. The facilities are great, hot showers and flushing toilets, plenty of room for camping. AFAIK it is just a 3DAAA-style shoot, so there is a trad division, as well as 'recurve un-aided' or whatever they cal...
