Re: Hope on the Horizon

Hi Perry, sorry to hear you are in pain BUT if in the longer term you have more movement and flexibility the short term pain will be worth it. Here's hoping that it all works out really well for you and you'll be able to do the things you want to do in the future. Thinking of you and wishing you the...

Happy 70th Roadie!!!

I'm glad we were able to share a dram or two at Barambah in anticipation of the great event and I look forward to sharing in still more drams when I see you again at a shoot soon.

My recovery continues to go well albeit slowly.

best regards,

Well everyone, got through the op ok - some pain but not too bad.
6 weeks before I can drive... not sure how long to draw a bow. We'll just have to start the journey and see.
Thanks for all the kind wishes - they are very much appreciated.
Hope to see you all soon.

Re: temudjin's heart

Hi everyone, Again a big thank you for all your kind thoughts. Latest news this morning is that open heart surgery will be Friday this week. They will try to repair the existing valve first, if not successful they will then fit a new, likely mechanical valve. I'll be in hospital for 5 days and then ...

Well it's been an "interesting" week since getting home from Barambah on Sunday. Some may have noticed I was a little short of breath over the weekend due to a cold so had a bad night Sunday finding it hard to breathe. Visited doctor on Monday morning only to be told the ambulance was on t...

Re: Good mates at the faire

It was a great weekend and a real credit to Shrek & Dave and the whole Team from Hinterland! They did ARCHERY proud! By my estimate something like 500 members of the general public paid their money and had a go at archery. My youngest " customer" was 4 years old and my oldest 88 so it ...

Hi Ronster,

tonight's forecast suggests that the weather for Saturday and Sunday "may" be better than originally forecast so I guess we'll just have to keep praying and dancing and see what the next couple of days bring.

Hope to see you there under non-rainy skies.

Anyone have a direct line to the weather gods? It's looking like we could have pretty persistent rain across the weekend so now is the time to start praying and doing anti rain dances or whatever else you feel may work. Kate, Josh and I are all planning to attend at this stage but we may whimp out i...

The friendly team at Warwick District Archers held an informal trad get together over the weekend (27th & 28th September) with a good showing of archers from the Sunshine & Gold Coasts, Toowoomba, Brisbane and of course some locals. A great weekend of camping, shooting and laughing was had b...

Hi, Top Hat sell a tool - they call it an arrow puller - but the 3 Rivers website says... "The TakeOut fits all shafts, and can even be used as an installation tool to hold the shaft while installing points or nocks." Search Part No 0926-1 on the 3 Rivers website... only downside is the pr...

Hi Grahame,

you could try this website where they sell feathers - grey goose included.

There is a photo mid way down the page of three goose feather, one of which they claim is a "grey" goose.

Hope it helps.

Chris,

rotten luck, hope you get better soon.

You could always try the standard Queensland cure... drink a shot or two of rum! It will either kill the germs or at least help you sleep.

Hopefully we'll see you at Gympie next weekend?
