I have POC shafts, nocks and points but they are all 50# - 55# and up, and mainly 23/64, which probably won't suit.

Re: Jules Shield Trad Shoot 16/17 July
I consulted latest info on weather site and that allied with the non stop rain we were experiencing less than 90 k's from Lakeside and decided it would be a wipe out. I might have been wrong and am annoyed that i missed the shoot but one can only go with what is at hand.I have bad memories of being ...

Re: Making father and son wood recurve bows
grey beard has posted several posts on building an all wood recurve, and a nice one at that. alternatively have a look at Sam Harper's site I think its called poor folk bows. He has a terrific 'build along on there for a recurve.Good luck and you will find plenty of help on here anyway.

Re: First static tip'curve.
Couple of shots Kerry, one unstrung and one strung.. although it has the classic 'D' shape when strung, there is the smallest amount of reflex visible near the tip on the back of bow. under ABA rules it becomes a 'modern' longbow meaning red peg for those familiar

Re: First static tip'curve.
Thanks Sabinus and Col! This finish has been along experimental road with heaps of grief, and a lot of money but starting to get it worked out. Col, the' curve sure does have a bit of punch to it, really like its performance.the static tip is just that it moves very little when under load compared to...

just finished my first foray into static tip curves and very happy with the way this bow came out and performs. The other bow is a Deflex/reflex which is available and is 44# @ 28''.the 'curve is 55# @ 28''and 58'' NTN.Pm if interested in the deflex/relex.

Re: Medieval target arrows
Out of sheer necessity at times I have footed broken ones too. Nice bow! Cypress looks good I have a little CTP but certainly not in the dimensions needed for a bow of that nature.Using it mainly as accent pieces'though been reliably informed it makes a fast longbow used as laminations.
