Re: Recurve claims rabbit
People don't get enough credit for hitting bunnies. Especially when you're talking about hitting a heart that is no bigger than a 5c piece or lungs which are not much bigger. Well done Slab.

Nice work Old Soul, I love the way you have stained the back of your selfbow. There's nothing like making your own bow to shoot with.

Rod, that's a beautiful looking bow. Well done with getting your mate to have a go with the longbow. Maybe he'll stay with the trad now.

Re: Dremel tools
Mick, I bought one for myself for cutting string noks in the ends of limbs as I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately it was too easy to let it run off down the edge of the limb and do damage to it. If you do try to use it for doing string noks, be very careful. I'm sure you'll find lots of oth...

Re: bandsaw - best for cutting out?
morganp, you're correct when you say you get what you pay for, however if you were only cutting small items and not putting too much load on the blade then you may get some good use out of it. It only has a very small motor (250 watts) which converts to 1/3 horsepower so if it was worked too hard yo...

Gopro question
G'day everyone, I was wondering if anyone owns and uses a GoPro while out hunting? I was thinking of getting one, either a silver or black edition, and attaching it to my bow while out hunting. Any information re: usability and quality of video would be much appreciated.

Re: Medieval Compound 240#@28"
Looking at the picture there doesn't seem to be a lot to go on, however, making an educated guess about where the energy is stored, I would say most likely in the pulley just below the users right hand. It's not a far stretch of the imagination to see that the pulley would turn upon pulling the stri...

Looks good Brett, nice grain in the timber of that riser mate. I think you could probably update your target too. It looks like it's seen a few arrows.

Re: Balance
morganp, I hope your tongue was in your cheek when you wrote that response as mine was when I posted the joke. If not, you need to remember this is the 'humour' section!
Balance
Recently I was standing in line waiting to use an ATM. The old lady in front of me was having trouble and asked if I could help her to check her balance. So I pushed her over.
Tragedy
I'm in mourning. A good mate of mine drowned in a bowl of muesli. He was pulled in by a strong currant.
