Hi Jeff,

It must be extremely satisfying to be able to make your very own top quality bows. Jeez, I'd love to have talent like that. You're a lucky man. We tend to take our eyes for granted when were're young. Oh well, at least we can still see well enough to appreciate beauty.

Bow length V Efficiency

G'day Fellow bowbenders, I've been bowhunting for nearly 40 years. I've only had a computer for 1 month. I never realised that either one could be used to enhance the other. I've learnt more on this site in a week than I learnt in a year previously. Just because I been around for a long time doesn't...

G'day Buford, There's nothing wrong with your arrow. It looks fantastic. If its easier to do, it will be well worth trying. I'll have to do some experimenting and find out what method works for me. I've got some old feathers lying around. I'll have a play. I feel humbled by your helpful responses to...

Selway longbow bowquiver SOLD

For Sale - Selway longbow bowquiver. I have an all black Selway longbow quiver that I never use. Its the model without the leather hood. The hood is black plastic and the arrow gripper is also black. It's hardly been used. The only noticable wear are the imprints where broadheads have been inserted ...

Hey Guys, If you wanted a real laugh, you should see my painted versions of doing this. Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera. Your efforts are very impressive gentlemen! I plan to try this method when I make up my next batch of arrows. I really appreciate you making this possible for me. Than...

If you want a photo of the bow emailed to you, please send me an email, cath.mick.smith@bigpond.com and I'll get right onto it. Please feel free to make an offer if you think the price is a bit steep. It really is a good cheap usable bow.

Very flash feathers

Gidday Guys, You have probably seen the really flash feathers on arrows in U.S. magazines. You know the ones, with pin-stripes and/or part of the feather dyed a different colour. The flashest feather of all is usually the cock feather. I've been trying to duplicate these works of art, but my results...

Thanks for the welcome! The Centreshot is right handed. It pulls 56lb @ 28 inches. Its not a bad looking bow. It has nice grain in the timber and contrasting colours. I haven't a clue what type of wood it is though. Actually when I bought it, I planned to sand the gloss finish off and paint the whol...

Centreshot R/H 58" 56lb recurve (now has photos) SOLD

I've been using this bow for a few years. It shoots well, in fact it packs quite a punch. Its reasonable smooth and accurate. I believe these bows were made in Asia in the 70s and 80s, but I don't know much about their history. The bow is actually called a "Centreshot". It has a nice riser...
